Babylon trashed by police... Mama and Papa return to Iran... Amir in critical condition

I have just been told by Simon Rojas (Babylon DJ currently living in Spain) via MSN Messenger that in the early hours of Saturday morning, June 25 2005, six plain-clothes officers of the Toronto Police Department allegedly assaulted Amir Ebrahimnia in Bar Babylon at 553 Church Street during Amir's annual Pride Day Start-up party. The bar was trashed by these same police officers.

After a decade of great tunes and fabulous martinis, Bar Babylon is closed. According to Simon, Amir is crushed and reluctant to pursue legal action due to lack of financial resources and the police beating, which has left him covered in bruises from head to toe and suffering with breathing problems.
